Terms of Service
1. Repair Estimates
Estimates provided via email or phone are indicative based on the information provided. A firm, binding quote can only be issued after physical inspection of the timepiece at our Hatton Garden workshop. We reserve the right to revise estimates if internal damage is found to be more extensive than reported.
2. The 1-Year Guarantee
We provide a 12-month warranty on all full servicing and overhaul work.
- Coverage: The guarantee covers the work carried out and parts replaced. It covers timekeeping accuracy to manufacturer tolerances.
- Exclusions: The guarantee does not cover damage caused by accident, misuse, shock (dropping), or water ingress if the watch was not pressure tested or if the crown was left open. It does not cover strap/bracelet wear.
- Partial Repairs: “Part jobs” (e.g., only replacing a crown without a full service) may not carry a movement warranty.
3. Water Resistance
We certify water resistance only if a pressure test is passed at the time of collection. We cannot guarantee water resistance indefinitely as seals degrade over time. We recommend annual testing. Vintage watches are often not guaranteed waterproof due to age-related case wear.
4. Uncollected Items
Watches must be collected within 6 months of notification of completion. After reasonable attempts to contact the owner, we reserve the right to dispose of or sell uncollected items to recover costs, in accordance with the Torts (Interference with Goods) Act 1977.
5. Payment
Payment is due in full upon collection or before return dispatch. We accept major credit/debit cards and BACS transfer.
